Yeah so, my computer decided to give up on me. The hard drive or operating system just kinda said no to me. Yeah life is so boring w/o a computer. I have to go to this damn computer lab to get on...
Ahh well, I hopefully should have it up in a few days unless there is a hardware problem, then it may be a few weeks....
but the point of this thread is to review the cds that I got from underground inc. about a week ago.
Hate Dept. - Ditch
It's pretty good. It is a lot more electronic than I thought it would be. I was introducdd to them from pigface... Seibold (main guy in hate dept.) singing and playing guitar on Insect/Suspect on pigface's easy listening.... album. I really dug the song and felt like checkling them out. There are a lot of really good songs, but they can get boring. I think the beats just get old on a few songs. Overall - 6
Imbue - Ritual In Bloom
Now this is some good shit. I saw these guys open up for pigface a couple years ago, they blew me away. I kinda forgot about them for awhile, but then I saw their cd on underground inc.com and thought "why not?". Yeah remind me kinda of pmm. They have the electronic element there, but it doesn't take over. There are some fast and some slow, but most are great. They do have a few filler tracks with a few minutes of random noise though.
overall - 8
C17 H19 NO3 - Terra Null
yeah the name is the chemical formula for morphine. This isn't really music that you put in and activly listen to imo. I would call it layered noise. It is very good to put on and do other things to like read.... I find it good to do homework to. The songs very so much that I can't really accuratly describe the sound. Not much instrumentation though, pretty much just DJ type noise and spoken word over it. overall - 5
Yeah there ya go. I am willing to send any of these albums through aim if you want. But again right now my computer is broke and I am rendered helpless.
cheers.
