Well, the album leaked and I decided to give it a listen before I went out and bought it. I must say, I'm pretty dissappointed about the whole album. There is only 3 good songs and the rest of the album just doesn't do it for me. I'm a fan of A Perfect Circle but this cover album makes me kind of weary about their future records, even though none of these songs were written by the band themselves for the exception of "Counting Bodies Like Sheep To The Rhythm Of The War Drums" aka a "Pet" remix.
In my opinion, if your A Perfect Circle fan, don't buy this album because it will dissappoint you. Its better to wait another 3 years for their own material.
aMOTIOn is a good buy though. A DVD collection of their videos and concert material along with a CD that comes with it with 9 remixes. Except for the fact that 8 of them have already been released. O'well....

I just downloaded it. I'm still checking it out. I really like Counting bodies like sheep to the rhythm of the war drums. They also have a video up on their official site of it. It sounds like something that would have come from the tapeworm project with trent. Something that i didnt like that i heard from it was their version of People are People. I Just didnt like it all slow like how they made it...So far it's a neat album a lot of the songs are slow on it. from what i've heard. i have to finish listening to it.

I just listened through it for the first time. I like it, but not as much as other APC albums. This one was exactly what I was expecting though. I knew that they were gonna tone it down. You cann't have an angery and viloent album protesting war I like it though, not something I will listen to a lot.

I find eMotive quite smart...I like how they've managed to alter the songs so much they are almost irrecognizable. However, I take it as an "side-project" of APC, rather than a regular album....

I liked it. It wasn't nearly as good as Thirteenth Step or Mer De Noms, but I didn't dislike it or anything.
I, like everyone else, particularly like Passive. A purely awesome song. It'd be cool if NIN and APC released Tapeworm stuff seperately, like, they each get the rights to half of it or something. That would be so cool.

I didn't like it, nor can I ever find it in my heart to listen to more than about the first 15 seconds of any APC song.
Tool is ok, I can handle some of the older things, but I'm not one of the 'maynard is god' crew.

eMOTIVE was rather disapointing, some of the songs are good, but they could have done a lot better job with it, especially since maynard took time away from tool to work on it, a new tool cd would most likely be out by now if they didnt' make eMOTIVE. I hope tool's new cd can match up to the likes of ænema and opiate.
